Online Artist Registration

Juror: Jens Hoffmann is the director of the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. He has curated over three dozen exhibitions internationally since 1997 and written more than 150 articles on art and curatorial practice over the last decade.

Eligibility

Must reside/work within 9 County Greater Bay Area. Final selections will be made June 23 - 26. Artists or representatives must be available during this scheduled time.

How do I apply?

Standard entries must be submitted online. Works in all media are accepted. New media will only be accepted by mail.

For best results images should be sized to 800 x 800 pixels per inch and at a resolution of 72..

Submission & Fees: Basic entry fee includes up to 3 submissions, additional submissions are $5 each. Five (5) submission max per artist. No refunds. Online Registration: $25 basic entry fee + any additional submission fees + applicable membership. Participating artists must have current Pro Arts membership through September 3, 2010. Visual Aid vouchers accepted. Contact gallery for fee waivers for volunteer service.

Pro Arts and the Oakland Art Gallery are working together to ensure high quality programming in the visual arts in the Oakland/ Bay Area.

Why do I have to become a Pro Arts member to register for the Oakland Art Gallery's Bay Area Currents exhibition?

Where will the exhibit be shown?
Bay Area Currents 2010 will be held at Pro Arts at Oakland Art Gallery, 150 Frank H. Ogawa, Oakland, CA

When will Pro Arts present the New Visions Juried Exhibition?
New Visions is not currently scheduled for 2010. Pro Arts is presenting Bay Area Currents as a second juried opportunity for regional artists, juried by a regional curator.
