Pro Arts is pleased to announce that Pro Arts Open Studios festival is back and bigger than ever. Now in its forty-second year, the Pro Arts Open Studios 2016 festival includes over 400 individual studios, galleries, exhibitions, and events involving more than 500 contemporary artists and locations, representing over 152 sq. mi. of terrain in the East Bay. This free annual festival connects visual, sound, video, literary, traditional and performance artists with the public, capturing the essence of our vibrant local art scene and building a community around art.

On June 4 and 5 and on June 11 and 12, participating artists will open their studios from 10am-7pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to view an impressive variety of work from hundreds of artists, and gain wider understanding of the artistic process and practice. Detailed profiles of participating artists, including images, can be found on the interactive artist directory at ebos.proartsgallery.org.
