NIAD at 25

The National Institute of Art & Disabilities (NIAD) is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a retrospective exhibition at Pro Arts, in Oakland, CA. Since 1983, NIAD has cultivated an art studio and gallery that promotes creativity, independence, dignity, and community integration for people with developmental and other disabilities.

Countless artists have worked in NIAD’s studio producing art that has been exhibited throughout the United States and around the world. The exhibit will feature a wide spectrum of painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and fiber arts produced since NIAD’s inception by artists such as Sam Gant, Sylvia Fragoso, Willie Harris, Audrey Pickering, Attilio Crescenti, Billy White, Jeremy Burleson, and many others.
