Quarterly at Latham Square

Featuring the work of Daniel Healey

1611 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland
December 11 - March 8, 2011

Oakland based artist Daniel Healey uses thousands of pieces of tape to create intricate landscapes of consumer objects for his exhibition at Latham Square. These works, shown together as a series for the first time, represent an exciting look at a unique artistic process. By using clear household tape, the artist manipulates small fragments of found ink into abstract ’Äúbrush strokes’Äù that are layered, piece by piece, into larger structures. The resulting landscapes resemble giant trash piles, toppling from the weight of so many tiny fragments.

The exhibition is on view weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm in the Latham Square lobby located at 1611 Telegraph Ave., Oakland. Admission is free.
