About the Trust
The Oakland Cultural Trust is an association of Oakland art organizations and artists working with the City of Oakland, business leaders, educators and families which:
- Serves as a resource for relaying developments in arts funding and advocacy from the national and regional scene with the local community.
- Advocates for the City's artists and arts organizations, and public art programs.
- Builds relationships amongst cultural arts organizations for networking, resource sharing and culling best practices.
- Builds relationships with policy-makers, the business community, the Mayor and City Council, and other
industry and community leaders.
- Provides a structure to establish an arts agenda for the City of Oakland i.e., Investment in Oakland's cultural economy, economic impacts of local arts, priority of arts education, commitment to cultural equity.
Membership & Invitation to Join
The Oakland Cultural Trust invites artists, arts organizations, individuals, and community stakeholders to join its efforts in support of a vibrant, safe and sustainable Oakland through the arts! Membership is free. Forward to a friend or colleague!
